From Our Own Trees to the Finished Wooden Game: Genuine Craftsmanship Instead of Mere Imports

While many simply buy and resell goods, we bring wooden dreams to life from the ground up. Knobelholz is not just a retailer—we accompany every single game along its entire journey: from sustainable cultivation to handcrafted production, all the way directly to your home.

Our Journey in 4 Steps:

• Sustainably Grown (Our Own Plantations)

Our brainteasers and puzzles are crafted from the wood of the Samanea Saman (Rain Tree). Through controlled cultivation on our own plantations, we preserve valuable resources, protect natural forests, and guarantee complete transparency right from the first seedling.

• Traditional Craftsmanship

Each game piece is shaped, precisely sanded, and lovingly finished by experienced woodworkers in our partner workshop. No anonymous mass-produced plastic items, but real, tactile natural material with a unique wood grain.

• Certified Quality & Refinement

Before shipping, every mechanical puzzle is inspected for fit, functionality, and tactile feel. We treat the wood exclusively with eco-friendly natural oils—ensuring a velvety surface that feels wonderful in your hands.

• Directly from the Manufacturer to You

Because we manage the entire chain ourselves, we cut out expensive middlemen. You receive a durable, sustainable, and unique piece—and become part of a community that shares a passion for thoughtful wooden game craft.

• 🌳 Sustainable Samanea Wood (Grown in-house)

• 🛠️ True Handcraftsmanship – Directly from the manufacturer

• 🧩 Incl. Solution Service & Video Guides

Discover the difference you can feel: high-quality board games, wooden puzzles, brainteasers, and patience games straight from the creator. Join our Knobel-Community and experience the Knobelholz style!

Wood as a Material Does Something to Us: Why We Love Wood, Playing Games, and Puzzling

Game nights and brain teasers do something to us. One moment, a single piece of wood can make you rethink everything; the next moment, a game brings the entire family together in laughter. Sometimes a puzzle triggers a friendly family rematch, and other times a deep silence settles over the room because everyone is so focused on their wooden puzzle that no one utters a word.

Because wood radiates warmth, feels real, and grows even more beautiful over time, every single piece is unique. Each piece carries its own grain, as distinct as the moment you sit down to play. And because playing games brings people together, we share time, laugh, think in new ways, and discover solutions that we might never have found alone.

• For Children: While playing, they explore not only their world but also their strengths. They try, fail, try again, and grow through the process.

• For Adults: They find a place where the daily routine pauses for a moment. What matters here isn't the to-do list, but the present moment and the people sharing it with them.

In our newly designed community, we and our users share these exact moments. Here you'll find favorite games for vacation, game tips for two, rare game rules that hardly anyone knows, and answers to exciting questions like: What is actually the hardest brain teaser? What do you play on vacation? Has anyone solved this Cobra Cube puzzle yet?
